- The OnePlus Nord Buds are available in India for around €37.
OnePlus Nord Buds: the best value for money on the market?
OnePlus is no stranger to audio. We already know that the OnePlus Buds Z launched in 2020, when it was a huge success with its unbeatable price/quality ratio. Therefore, it is only logical that the OnePlus Nord Buds will be launched in India first, a market that is very price-conscious. But OnePlus launches in India tend to be followed up quickly in Europe, and we might see these cheap buds arrive in France soon.
The Nord Buds have large drivers with a diameter of 12.4mm instead of the 11mm of the more expensive OnePlus Buds Pro TWS. If this also translates into better audio quality, we’ll find out as soon as we receive a test model of the Nord Buds. Regardless, we can expect a serious bass boost.
Additionally, the OnePlus Nord Buds also feature a “Pro Gamer” mode that reduces latency to 94ms – which, honestly, isn’t great considering the headphones can connect wirelessly via the aptX LL (low latency) codec. Maximum input delay of about 34ms. On the other hand, you won’t find such cheap headphones with aptX LL.

As we mentioned, this set of headphones doesn’t have ANC. But according to OnePlus, at least the two microphones on each earbud should help reduce external noise during voice calls. The newer Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity is also supported and ensures compatibility with SBC and AAC codecs. The brand has also added Dolby Atmos certification and custom equalizer presets available from the mobile app.

Nord Buds range and price
OnePlus promises up to 7 hours of battery life for the earphones, and users can extend that to 30 hours with the charging case. Plus, the headphones are IP55 certified, which means they’re dust-proof and safe to use in the rain.
As mentioned, the earphones are not yet available in France. But with the new OnePlus Nord on the horizon, the manufacturer may surprise us by launching the Nord Buds in Europe.
Do you think the Nord Buds are reasonably priced considering the lack of noise cancellation on the earphones?
