PlayStation has quietly announced the delay of its cat game Stray, expected to be released this summer.
The release window was previously set to spring 2022, but PlayStation surreptitiously confirmed the delay in a tweet quickly spotted by Eurogamer (below) advertising the indie game.
Stray’s release on PS5, PS4, and PC will mark its first two-year reveal at the PS5 reveal event, when it was originally expected to be released in 2021.

Developer BlueTwelve’s goal was simple: “Our goal was to create a unique cat gaming experience,” they said at the time.
But this is no ordinary house cat, as the player controls the kitten to explore a robotic cyber city and try to get home with the help of a drone named B-12.
BlueTwelve has been pretty quiet since its initial reveal, only really sharing more information about the game when it announced a delay to spring 2022 last July.
Several of the PS5 titles originally released in September 2020 have seen delays, and the COVID-19 pandemic is not doing game development any favors.
Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West, Deathloop were among the games with the biggest delays, but Stray, Goodbye Volcano High and Forspoken remained the only unreleased games.
