Keep in mind that the availability of some games may vary by region and this list does not include all games that will be available at launch, we have noticed a good presence of PlayStation Studios games with modern titles such as Bloodborne, Days Gone, Demon’s Souls, God of War, Homecoming, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Gravity Dash 2 and even Marvel’s Spider-Man and its Miles Morales expansion.
On the third-party publisher side, aside from major titles like Mortal Kombat 11, Red Dead Redemption 2, or NBA 2K22, we noticed Ubisoft’s take on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 4, Crew 2, or The Division. And for good reason, we’ve learned that Extra and Premium subscribers will have access to Ubisoft+ Classics games, a new option developed by the French publisher specifically for the occasion. In fact, 27 Ubisoft games will be available at launch, with the goal of reaching 50 or more by the end of the year. In addition, all PlayStation users will be able to subscribe to the Ubisoft+ service in the future.

classic game
Premium subscriber
In addition to discovering the first classic games (PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP) to appear in the premium user catalog, the PlayStation press release also spreads some new noteworthy elements. The first is that some classic games are seen as remasters, with optimized refresh rates and resolutions. Additionally, some PS1 and PSP games will feature a new user interface and menu, allowing you to save or rewind the game at any time and try again. PS3 games are still a streaming perk (on PS4, PS5, and PC), and that’s also…the fault of the idiosyncratic architecture of Ken Kutaragi’s latest console.
Other important information that should delight those who have rushed to the PlayStation Store for “classics” in the past: These games can be accessed on PS4 or PS5 without the need to buy back or subscribe to PlayStation Plus. “Players who already own some digital versions of PlayStation and PSP generation games can play them on PS4 or PS5 without purchasing or logging into PlayStation Plus separately. When these games release on PS4 and PS5, players will be able to head over to the PlayStation Store and download the version for their console for free if they already own the digital version. Some games will also be purchased separately,” explained the PlayStation Blog.
We now hope that the modest list below will gradually become richer, and most importantly, that the PlayStation team will not interrupt this nostalgic momentum after a few months as we have often seen in the past.

Then, how many new games are there each month?
Offering a strong starting catalog is obviously important, but like some Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus is very interested in getting people talking about it on a regular basis by updating its catalog with new features that unify and diversify. At this point, Sony also clarified its plans. In addition to the games of the month that will continue to be shown to all subscribers at the beginning of each month, Extra and Premium members will pre-order an additional update of new games in the middle of each month, the number of which will vary from month to month. If you need a refresher on the price of each subscription, head over to the official PlayStation Plus website.
