At Nintendo Life, we’re eager to learn more about one of Sega’s upcoming games, Sonic Frontier.
Now, we know it’s coming out for “Holiday 2022” and will be an “Open Zone” experience. The story is also reportedly being written by Ian Flynn, lead writer for IDW’s current Sonic the Hedgehog comics.
Now, in the new season of Sonic’s official livestream, Sega of America’s social media manager Katie Kozanovsky has been asked when more information will be revealed — teasing news about the next main thread Nick’s project will be Coming “soon”, or at least sometime this year:
“I see a lot of people asking [Sonic] Frontiers, we have no news about Frontiers today, but don’t worry about it any time soon. This holiday is still going to be released, we will have news to tell you this year, don’t worry. “
As mentioned, it’s still on track for a holiday 2022 release, so there’s no need to worry about any delays or anything like that. The game is apparently also intended to be released in 2021, but Sega wants to improve the quality of the product.
In the same livestream, it was also reiterated that there are currently no plans for a physical version. sonic originbut Sega has realized the need for one.
