Sony is busy sending out emails about overhauls PlayStation Plus. For the most part, the information included is nothing new – this email just goes over what the new level has to offer – but Sony Do Fully confirmed games will be added to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium on a monthly basis. Titles can also be removed from the table of contents.
“New games will be added to the game catalog every month, while others may leave the service,” the email reads. The game catalog itself, which will contain “up to 400” PS5 and PS4 games, is the mainstay of PS Plus Extra. selling point. Of course, the same catalog is included in PS Plus Premium, the most expensive tier, which also gives you access to a ton of PS1, PS2, and PSP games (via download or streaming), as well as PS3 games (via streaming only).
While we’re still waiting to find out which games are actually included in the new tier, we at least have a better idea of how Extra and Premium work. Hopefully Sony will keep this information until the PS Plus re-release in June.
