If you think Sony’s LinkBuds are getting too much exposure to the outside world, don’t worry – there may be a follow-up to help you out.as Walkman Blog Notes, recently built leak poster Snoopy Tech shared Image of alleged WF-LSN900 wireless earbuds, possibly called LinkBuds S. Unlike the open-back LinkBuds, this model lets you go from allowing ambient sound to “seamlessly transition” to enabling “advanced” noise reduction. You can also “autoplay” to your liking, though it’s not clear what that entails — Sony already has some location-based audio settings.
The design appears to be a fusion of the WF-1000XM4 and WF-C500, and will include an XM4-style proximity sensor as well as an external mesh that can be used for noise reduction. The buds are available in black, gold, and white, and you can expect the obligatory charging case.
It’s unclear when Sony will ship these earbuds, or how much they will cost. We wouldn’t count on the LinkBuds S naming scheme either, given the different designs. At the very least, you probably won’t have to wait long to learn the truth. Some FCC confidentiality for the WF-LSN900 is set to expire on June 21st, suggesting that Sony will officially launch the earbuds before that date.
