The US site PlayStation Universe found the ad in question. Ubisoft Toronto is currently looking for a writer to provide players with proofreading of the original script:”Building on the first Splinter Cell game, we’re rewriting and updating the story for the modern audience.” Is it stated so in the announcement, and further: “We wanted to keep the spirit and themes of the original game and make them more believable while exploring our characters and world. What Ubisoft Toronto means for the “modern audience” remains to be seen.
The studio has said its general approach to this is reassuring remake When it was announced in a column on Ubisoft’s official website. Game producer Matt West said:I think one of the things that’s really exciting about this project is that the last two games we’ve made together are very big worlds.“. Producer here refers to far apart 6 and Watch Dogs: Legion, the last two works the studio participated in. He pursues: “This means the decision economy is very decentralized, and what I love about the Splinter Cell map is that every square inch represents intentionality (…). Every square inch is part of a selection, either provides a selection directly, or has a direct branch. This game density is a top priority in Splinter Cell, and it’s very, very important to us.“
Judging by this newly released announcement, we’re probably still a long way from the title’s release, and the platform in question hasn’t even revealed it yet. So it will be a matter of patience until the first concrete manifestations of Ubisoft Toronto’s lofty intentions are discovered.
