Warzone star and FaZe Clan member Swagg has highlighted what he believes to be the fastest killing weapon in Season 3, but it does have some downsides.
Much later, Raven Software released the Warzone Pacific Season 3 update on April 27, bringing Caldera a slew of map changes and some much-needed weapon balance.
Battle Royale changed immediately after the update, with players experimenting with different snipers to find alternatives to the Modern Warfare Kar98 and Cold War Swiss K31.
In addition to changes to existing weapons, two new guns have been introduced, the Nikita AVT Assault Rifle and the M1916 Marksman Rifle. The former, unlocked at level 31 of the Battle Pass, has been highly rated by players including Swagg.
ActivisionBuffs and nerfs and two new guns shake up the meta in Warzone Season 3.
The FaZe Clan star highlighted the new addition to Warzone’s arsenal in his April 29 video, in which he said it’s the new king of Battle Royale when it comes to taking out enemies quickly.
Swagg points out that the Nikita AVT follows a pattern set by other Vanguard assault rifles, where it kills quickly and has “no recoil,” but also struggles to have true “AR range” like some of the alternatives.
However, he added that because of its rate of fire, it “kills very quickly at close range” and it could be an SMG-like option we’ll see later.
The new assault rifle has become a popular choice in Warzone, and a few days later, a meta-build has taken over the popular MX silencer, Hand Stop underbarrel, and extended ammo attachment.
However, if the weapon becomes too much of a headache, Raven may take action to weaken it. For now, it’s worth unlocking and using in-game if you want to keep up with metadata.
