A Tennessee family claims they used an Apple AirTag to track them while they were at Walt Disney World.
Jennifer Gaston told FOX 35 Orlando that the family was returning to their car on the monorail when they spotted the AirTag and were notified that the owner of the AirTag device had been tracking them. According to WKRN-TV, the Gastons are visiting from Tennessee.
“We were scared, we were confused and hurt and scared,” Jennifer Gaston said. “She literally watched it follow us from the tram all the way back to our car.”
Gaston’s daughter said the device tracked them for hours while they were at the theme park.
The family couldn’t find the AirTag when they got into the car. They drove away and called police.
Her daughter continued to track the device’s location, showing it was still in the parking lot.

“When she refreshed it, it showed the AirTag was still in our parking space, so when we frantically shook off the clothes and dumped everything out of the bag, it somehow fell out,” Gaston said.
Apple AirTags are devices used to track personal items if they are lost, but have been used by criminals in the past.
Gaston said it could be worse.
“This story could have ended differently,” Gaston said. “I’m praising God that we had the results we had, but it was because she was hardworking and knew what to do.”
