Creative Zen Hybrid: headphones with hybrid ANC for less than 110 euros
In terms of appearance design, Zen Hybrid adopts rotatable ear cups and three-way folding design. Creative says the adjustable headband uses reinforced steel on the inside, complemented by a synthetic leather wrap. There’s also support for voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant if you don’t like using the physical buttons on the right earcup for navigation.
In terms of audio connectivity, the Zen Hybrid supports Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with AAC and SBC codecs. They don’t support the HD Bluetooth codecs you’ll find on more expensive headphones like Sony’s WH-1000XM5. Instead, the company has used large 40mm speakers and its proprietary sound enhancement technology called “Super X-Fi Holographic Audio.”

According to Creative, the headset’s Hybrid ANC uses four microphones to block up to 95 percent of external noise. Frankly, we want to be specific about how many dB (decibels) this translates to in practical use. Also, if you want to be more aware of your surroundings, you can also use Ambient Mode.
