Xbox is having issues preventing some players from launching cloud gaming, playing digital games and purchasing from its store. According to Xbox’s status page, the outage began around 4 p.m. ET, and the company is currently working to fix it.
“We know that some users are unable to purchase and launch games or initiate cloud gaming sessions,” Xbox Support said in a tweet. “Our team is investigating. Please keep an eye out here and on our status page for updates. http://Xbox.com/status.”

The latest series of problems follow hours of massive power outages on Friday night and Saturday morning. Some players are unable to launch cloud gaming sessions, launch digital games, make purchases, or even access streaming apps including Netflix and Disney Plus.
Although the Xbox seems to solve these problems, problems with its stores, digital games and cloud gaming appear to have started to resurface.as my colleague Tom Warren Notes, if you’re affected by an outage, you should still be able to play offline when you set up your Xbox as a “home” console. Xbox Support also said Restarting the Xbox console may help.
Update, May 7 at 5:45pm ET: An update to add restarting the Xbox console may help resolve some issues.
