A teaser website for the project and a PowerPoint in the form of a classified presentation reveal that the title, an action RPG in development on PS5, PS4 and Switch, will be released in Japan this summer. Playable for up to three, it’s presented as an homage to the classic RPG of the ’90s, so it’s designed to carry a sense of nostalgia and modernity. The story apparently revolves around Cyan, a young man who lives peacefully in his small village until one day he learns to become the “Chaos Warrior” chosen by the gods of the same name, who oppose the god of order to control the world.
FuRyu says there’s obviously no need to imagine a big production that will make the genre’s biggest names shudder, especially since the game is being developed by Three Rings Studio, whose biggest game to date is A Tale of the Seasons: Heralds of Olive Towns with One Piece: Dawn of Romance. FuRyu still successfully completes his tease Announced that Nobuzuru Tree will participate in world design (Escaflowne, Trials of Mana, Chrono Cross), Raita Kazama will participate in character design (Phantasy Star Online, Xenoblade Chronicles, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia), and Yûra Kubota will participate in script design (Octopath Traveler, Brave Default II) and music by Hiroki Kikuta (Mana’s Secret, Koudelka, Indivisible).
Three Pokémon artists (Atsuko Nishida, Chihiro Kitakaze, Megumi Mizutani) are also mentioned in the design of the allied creatures, whose names will be announced later. The domerica animation studio, which makes cutscenes especially for most Persona games, completed this reference list. PROJECT-TRITRI will be unveiled on May 26th.
