We know more about the iPhone 14 Max, which is rumored to replace the iPhone 13 mini in Apple’s catalog in 2022. A recent leak revealed part of the technical sheet, the different variants of the iPhone 14 Max, and its price.
- New leak suggests the iPhone 14 Max will have a 90Hz display
- Apple could also increase RAM in new iPhones
- iPhone 14 Max Unofficial Price $899, or €825, excluding tax
According to an Apple leaker who responded to the Shadow Leak name on Twitter, the Apple iPhone 14 Max will partially take over the iPhone 13’s technical sheet, especially in terms of design. It is also mentioned that Apple will add some power to the iPhone 14 Max, at least in terms of RAM.
90 Hz Oled screen and Bionic A15 SoC
The leaker claims that, among other things, the iPhone 14 Max will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2278 x 1284 pixels. We didn’t hit the 120 Hz Pro Motion level of the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, but it was better than the base model’s 60 Hz. Like every year for years, leakers are counting on dropping the notch in favor of a punch.
Unfortunately, the A15 Bionic chipset used in last year’s iPhone can power both the classic iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max. If that happens, it will be the first time Apple has sorted the standard iPhone and Pro lines so neatly. But it remains to be confirmed what the actual difference in performance between the Bionic A15 and this year’s A16 chipsets will be.

The whistleblower claims that in addition to the internal specifications, the iPhone 14 and Max models may retain the dual 12 MP photo module. Apparently, only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will integrate the new 48 MP photo lens announced by other leakers a few months ago.
In terms of pricing, the base 128GB storage version of the iPhone 14 Max will likely launch for $899. Probably $100 more for the 256GB model.
