Has anyone lost their Google Pixel Watch?
Android Central
After months of speculation about its potential launch, design, and features, we may already have a good look at the rumored Google Pixel Watch. On Monday, Android Central posted nine photos of Google’s upcoming smartwatch.
While it wasn’t confirmed until Google officially announced the Pixel Watch, the leaked images are consistent with previous reports, including rumors of a minimalist design, crown, and potentially hidden buttons. CNET has been following the rumors surrounding the smartwatch, compiling a full list of clues you can find here.
The images were reportedly taken and leaked under somewhat bizarre circumstances: The smartwatch was allegedly found in a restaurant in the United States. The finder, who asked to remain anonymous, did not share the location with Android Central.
The alleged owner of the watch posted more details in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) thread on Reddit under the username u/tagtech414. After a photo was posted confirming they did have the watch, the details began to unfold: A colleague found the watch in the restaurant where they worked and kept it for “a few weeks” in case the owner came to pick it up. After weeks of unclaimed watches, u/tagtech414 investigated them.
When the source tried to open it, a white Google logo appeared.

Here’s what u/tagtech414 posted about the watch:
- The source couldn’t see the UI, but did see a white Google logo when trying to open it.
- The physical crown sits between two buttons on the side.
- The bezel is actually quite large.
- The dial is about 1.5 inches in diameter and half an inch thick.
- The watch strap is a Google-proprietary strap that looks similar to the bendable Apple Watch Sport strap.
- The watch comes in the rumored black color.
- The bottom appears to be glass-coated like an Apple Watch.
Leaked blue strap.

Sources haven’t found the charger, and the battery is dead by now, so we won’t have any more details on what the watch can do before launch, which will likely be announced or at least teased during Google I/O in May. A previous report from Insider said the device could debut in the spring, but that could change depending on how internal testing progresses.
While we still don’t know when it will launch, how much it will cost, or where Google plans to release the watch, it’s likely that the watch will be available this spring or fall and will run on the new Wear OS software.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
