If his involvement as Geralt De Riv’s lead role in the series garnered some attention when Netflix aired its first visuals, Henry Cavill quickly gained unanimous support – or almost – thanks to his powerful Performance. After wearing the White Wolf Medal for almost three seasons, the British actor has still decided to quit the series and has just announced in a press release:”My journey as Geralt of Rivia was full of monsters and adventures, and alas, I’ll drop my medallion and sword for season 4. In my place, the great Mr Liam Hemsworth will take my place. Wolf. Like literary giants, I pass the torch with reverence, nostalgic for playing Geralt, and excited to see how Liam appropriates the most fascinating and nuanced man. Liam, my good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth, dive into it and see what you can find.“
The actor may well have decided to deviate programme reprise his role as Superman from Netflix DC Extended Universe, as recently announced.So it was Liam Hemsworth – whose career really took off with the trilogy Hungry Games – Who will take over the role for Season 4, the actor welcomed in his own press release: “As a Witcher fan, I’m excited to have the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia“He was enthusiastic.Henry Cavill was an amazing Geralt, and I was honored to have him hand me the reins and let me take up the blade of the white wolf for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I’ve been a fan of you for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have big boots to fill, but I’m really excited to step into the wizarding world.“
Henry Cavill’s departure is always a consolation after a few months for his final season as Geralt De Riv, although Netflix has yet to communicate its release the exact date.
